is there anyway i can watch the yap day from here in the state.... like internet,cable,etc...... if u have some information much appreciate.... thank you all........
islandpride....if you can wait....they usually sell dvd of yap day. I just don't know how soon they will have it out this year. It seems to differ each year.
Pending the editing process...Sometimes we have to undergo the struggle of pulling audio to be clear and off course having very limited resources and techs just ads up to the complications :)
Darn it! This is perhaps my 5th consecutive year of not attending Yap Day. I can always try to watch the DVD, but it's not the same. Hey, advice to the makers of the DVDs: Be more professional. I keep getting comments of how sloppy the Yap Day documentaries are. Now that's just rude, but also not far from the truth. We appreciate the hard work, but remember that the fair island of Yap is being judged through the documentaries... Good Luck!

Only also understand what we work with. 3 cameras, 1 computer, and 2 editors. No official certified hollywood producer only locally trained but that is just as much as our Government can afford. Nothing fancy about what we do but we try. I will have to say though, we're about the only government station thats exceedingly productive with our media works compared to the other three states so fair judgments can only be passed after seeing what the other states produce. Not what the U.S. produces. Im not merely trying to defend us, just explaining how we are actually being professionally creative with our limitations. Thanx and we'll take your advice into consideration with the notion that you are honestly commenting as a customer of our products, otherwise you are really missing out on the real thing in person, picture perfect.
kawie well ur right i'll watch it on DVD if there's no other way...... but i wanna watch it live....... so yeah if there's no other way then i'm gonna buy the DVD......
hhhhhhmmmm i guess inviting a world television company like bbc or some other is out of the question huh? we cant have competition for our local companies....:-P
There are going to be different school children events this year. Some will be the same but some have been changed to give more variety. Have a good Yap Day!
