I. Introduction of first item on the agenda with floor open for comments. A. Discussions began with Article IV section 2: Voting Membership Requirements on becoming a voting member: 1. Must be 18 years of age 2. Must be an active member within the group 3. Full name and contact information disclosed to officers. *There was no motion to amend the article, but it was motioned and agreed upon that the requirements be clarified and posted on the site for member's information.
B. Discussion continued with - Article VII section 1 Officers: -There was a motion to include the position of treasurer into the article and all sections within the bylaws that follow which notes the "roles" of each officer. Motion was carried and agreed upon, thus the bylaw was amended and the changes adopted, with a note to keep it open for changes as time progresses and group grows.
II. Second Item on the Agenda - Election of COM Treasurer
-Nominations: Tim, Bianca and Aaron *Aaron declined but is willing to assist in any way possible..."I respectfully decline. As I am way overwhelmed... however I am more than willing to help out any other way I can."
There was a motion to elect two treasures for the purpose of convenience for those within the states and those back home. Motion was second and Tim and Bianca were elected to fill the positions of treasurer for Circle of Micronesia. Tim being the treasurer close to home and Bianca for those in the US.
III. Third Item on the Agenda - NGO registration -The COM President, John M is drafting out the article of incorporation and the registration will be made in Yap. Motion was carried and agreed upon to table the item until such time that COM is officially established. Given to secretary to be noted for third official meeting agenda.
IV. Fourth item on the Agenda-(Combined agenda #5 and #6) Project to promote online and Musicians page
A. Project to promote online - A contest to promote youth projects. *All projects must be based on some Micronesian theme or something of or relating directly to Micronesian issues or events. *Project Suggestions: videos, essays, art, music, photo contest *Theme and Event suggestions: Any upcoming Youth projects within the islands, Micro Games, etc...
A motion was carried to table the suggestions for the third official meeting. All agreed and the agenda is noted and referred to the next scheduled meeting.
B. Musicians page: Announcement of a page on the site to be dedicated to Micronesian music, to be headed by Tim R. Motion for suggestion: *an idea suggested to note for music: none or minimal use of synthesizer Motion to move the agenda to the next official meeting as Tim was called away from the meeting. Motion carried and the agenda will be presented upon the next official meeting.
C. Announcement: For the time being, Yap will be the starting point of our efforts and a basis of establishing our official capacity. New Micronesian Magazine will dedicate a page in its monthly publication towards the group, youths and schools of Yap through the COM secretary. As of now, the winners will be published through this venue until such time that COM has established funding for further incentives. Upon any changes, members will be informed through the site.
V. Final agenda for discussion - Others
A. Establishing Legitimacy: Motion carried and agreed upon that all official voting members will be required to submit their real names, contact information to the following person. COM secretary in message box on site or the following email: comfoto2010@yahoo.com *These information are for verification purposes as well as official group business/communications. We are promoting real efforts and require that we all lay our cards on the table with respect and dignity to the cause.
B. Site and Chat Decorum: Motion carried and agreed upon to post and enforce a reminder on the site in regards to the decorum of how the site/chat should be viewed and treated. "The site and the public chat room are there for the sole purpose of positive communications. Therefore, it shall be regarded with respect and dignity. Lack of respect and personal attacks will not be tolerated."

there comes a time when one must decide to either stand for something or stand for nothing. Such a time is upon us, i need not point out how the situation is, but one has only to look around one's self and see. This is not a call for joining the Circle of Micronesia, although it would be nice if we have more members, but rather this is a general call for action. Any action which will serve to improve our islands. A lot of us have been talking here on this forum, but now we should do the walk. I urge all of you to get involved in one or another of the efforts to make yourself part of the solution to our common Micronesia - wide plight. I am a proud Micronesian, that goes without saying, and i call on all proud Micronesians to stand and be counted. Thank you

our goal is to have a chapter in each state of fsm as well as the other island groups such a s palau, marshalls, cnmi, and guam eventually once the umbrella organization is established. as of now we do not have a physical office yet. Our computers are our offices for now. we have an established by -laws now and working to be incorporated in Yap first, then hopefully have chapters in each state with affiliation to the umbrella core organization. We need members, and we are serious about what we are trying to do, our admin is the only one who will see any personal info about members. we would also like contact info to be kept on each members to make sure informations about the group is being sent to every members. again only the admin is privilege to such infos. At no point in time will personal info be shared to any members other than admin. again you can refuse to give out your personal infos, you can still be a member, just not a voting one. We want our voting members to have some trust and personal interest in the success of the organization. By being honest with personal infos which i can assure you will be kept with out-most confidentiality, you are giving us an indication of investing yourself in the cause. you can take the time to observe a few meetings before you make up your mind. we are not requiring that you either be with us now or get out, no not at all, all we ask is that you look at us all you want, ask us any question, we wont pretend to have all the answers yet but we will be glad to answer all questions and concerns you may have. I must give credit where its due to this group. You've been persistent virtually and it appears that few of you really tried your best and that's exactly where credits are due... Keep up with the good work and stay away from membership fee yet, until you're established with a physical headquarter. Since you all don't come in that often anymore......mind if i just blab in here for a second? I need to get a few things of my mind so that I can move on without coming back to the same thoughts. So I wonder.....is micronesia seminar itself against 'love' or is it simply the moderators? Or are they merely responding to someone clicking on 'report post'? I noticed that "what is love" and "love at first sight" is either closed or sinking. Though I don't know what sinking is. "Sinking" to me was this room before you, me (and the rest) come in and raise it back to the top. Which leaves me to wonder....is it because its about "LOVE"?? And if it is.......what's wrong with love? Granted, i think the word itself tends to get a bit overrated but still.........if someone wants to learn what love is or if love exists.........what is wrong with that?? I saw that "NEw Orleans, Who Dat" is still on, or even the "NBA" room. What is the criteria to these threads before they get sunk or closed down? If it did...if any kind of personal attack was made then that should be the reason why it was closed down...If not..then there should be no reason why they should close that thread. Im starting to wonder if Micsem moderators are excercising some sort of criteria on threads. As a longtime user of Micsem ive came across several issues that had no reason to be closed...but ended up being so...Whearas some which were filled with foul antagonistic belligerence remained open. Is there some sort of Biased pratice going on here? I dont know..But as only users of the site...we must respect whatever they wish to do with thier forum.

I saw something last night that really disturbed me. I was in another site skimming thru their forum and i clicked on one to read and lo' n' behold.....the words were SOOO familiar!!! I kept looking at the name that posted it and it surely wasn't me. I looked anywhere for any notations along the lines of "hey, this is NOT my thoughts, nor my words", but I didnt see it. But I shrugged it off.....I mean, if some people can't come up with ideas of their own for a discussion, I was glad that I helped in some way. But then that person came back with another reply......and wouldn't you know it folks...again, it was MYYYY own stuff and it all came from micsem. How bizarre is that? And you would think that that person would have at least.....AT LEAST....have taken the time to change some words around or something but NOOOOOOOOOOO....even all my "............." was there. I just don't understand it. My writing, my thoughts, my posts are so scattered brained and simple.........if a person is going to steal it, at least make the attempt to improve it.
