Today the court ruled for the Appellants on their motion for summary judgment as to the issue of a revote for the Northern Namoneas precinct. Tomorrow the issue of when the revote will occurr is at issue.

Another big day for the Redley/Salle camp, who are not only fighting for free and open elections,but are making a stand against the failing election system.

Now the people in Honolulu, Hawaii, who registered to vote, from the Northern Namoneas region will have the power to decide who is in the run-off. 1088 people from that region for Hawaii registered. The difference between G.D. and Redley Killion as 152.

I have not read the order of the Appellate Division. However, normal election practice requires an eligible voter to be registered prior to the date of the initial election in order to vote in that election. Failure to register for the initial election on March 3 would seem to disqualify someone from voting in a revote. If that were allowed to happen, people from all over Chuuk State could claim the right to register AFTER the initial election date and vote, and that would cause CHAOS!

Finally! Glad to see justice happening for our beloved Chuukese. This election is very important, just like the recent one for the USA.... We really need CHANGE!! I hope the whole Chuuk sees that the current system and those in charge are not what we need. We do not need a repeat of the last 4 years. We are desperate for someone who cares about our livelihood to take charge. God bless us all...

I m not sure if the problem in honolulu will solved, the initial problem was Open Walter's name was not on the master list along with his family, so that's what makes him smashed the box. So now court have granted revote just for those 1088 registerd name on the master list, that means Open Walter and his family will not vote. Don't you think Open Walter will have an agenda for that election day?

I applaud the judicial system, Chuuk, for the first time in history,trash me if mistaken, to assist in correcting this election fraud. But no matter what the court has ruled, the problem still comes from those in charge and will still persist thereafter if and and if-- no change. Some has pinpointed the problem to Rufus. Is this his problem? I do not think so, for so many times, it is the problem of the election commissioner, the attorney general, the pohnpean fella, and the governor himself. These fella present and past, though are aware but neglect to correct this issue especially when the result rests in their favor. Do you think they care? Hell no...

In the case of Open Walter, if I were him I should be darrrrrnnnnnnnnnn upset and mad if I have registered but not listed. Again, in many incidents, and I remembered that election commissioner from Mechitiw along with his Ag general who have inputted names so exotic that puzzled residents from that precinct. Such names as I recalled were Zhung, Zhanh, Tiweuruuhang, etc.

Let me just say and I hope the presiding judge over this case can read, why exclude the senators and the reps? Don't you think the results will change too?

I disagree with the previous posting by Mr. Akon, though I respect your opinion. I really do not believe this was a fraud. It was Open Walter breaking the ballot box. If he didn't, the election for the people from Northern Namoneas would have continued. If you do not know, the inside partition of the ballot box was broken, caved-in. Voting cannot continue because of that. You know, I wonder, should they continued the voting, wouldn't anybody still challenge the box because it was caved-in?

There were many people from the other regions whose names were not listed on the master list. Yet they didn't break their respective boxes.

I believe the lawyers diverged from the real issue, and question the legality of the board members handling the election process. I believe that this issue was mood since they didn't contest it at the beginning when the board members were getting ready to leave for the voting places.

I am not a lawyer, thereby I am only wondering.
